The EcoPlusHome is a prefabricated new home construction built with our main focus on energy efficiency and affordability. State of the art PV and solar thermal and the geothermal heating and cooling systems, the energy efficient construction and an air tight building envelope – the EcoPlusHome will save energy and money one house at a time.

Located in Bathurst, New Brunswick, the EcoPlusHome is nestled in a normal North American subdivision and the Kenny’s are an average family who will live in the EcoPlusHome for 12 month. Our project is a live lab to prove independence from fossil fuels in our own four walls is possible. With extreme different temperatures and harsh winters, our location is the perfect testing ground for the EcoPlusHome.

May 2010 – The EcoPlusHome just won the Premier’s Energy Efficiency Award for a New Residential Home!

The Premier’s Awards for Energy Efficiency were developed by Efficiency NB to recognize companies, organizations and individuals for their innovation and achievement in the field of energy efficiency. The EcoPlusHome is the most energy efficient home on record with Efficiency NB’s New Homes Program.
